I am Colombian, and proud that my country is the third in the world with the largest Lebanese community, although I am not Arab, proud that the Colombian Sofia Vergara has supported this great group, she recognizes talent. I had never seen a group that in a single presentation expressed so many beautiful things: beauty, creativity, femininity, power, talent, timing, pride, culture, sensuality, I would like to see them one day next to Shakira who is also Colombian, I love this group, it makes me want to be Arab, very beautiful that culture

Bye

@@Omar-gv1op Hello Omar It is good to read several comments. From my childhood until now, I am interested in the history of Egypt, Phoenicia/Lebanon and Hellas/Greece, where the world's first civilizations came from. The tyrant's of Mesopotamia waged wars of extension and robbery, they have nothing to do with our subject. Summarizing regarding these dances, we observe that the choreographer, like his ancestors the Phoenicians, mixed his dances with Egyptian, Indian and Chinese folklore (please check all performances). The music is a mixture of Egyptian and Lebanese melodies (tank you to the Lebanese compositor with Armenian background). The women were dressed in Egyptian fashion, another show with pre-Hellenistic Indian-style. Everyone knows that Egypt was envied in the world, for example: Kretaner borrowed the linear pseudo-hieroglyphs A 2200BC and then B. The Phoenicians from Byblos took pseudo-hieroglyphs too at the 17th century BC from which they created the letters of the Alphabet XVI BC . Papyrus for the Hellenes to write us wonderful poems philosophy and laws ...Finally It is not allowed to talk about Arab music or Arab dancers, even dress and culture, simply because Arabs didn't have those things. Please stop the misinformation, enough is enough. Phoenician women your duty is to dance not defending oppressed Arab females.

Throughout human history, many people, ethnic groups migrated for better life conditions or conquered and overtook another nation/country--usually neighboring ones. With these people who migrated/overtook have brought with them their culture which was accepted, borrowed, then modified to their way. I have the Spanish Flamenco dance in mind. The Moors conquered the Iberian Peninsula, overtook the country, and the natives learned the hand movement that was incorporated into what is now known as Flamenco. Spanish (and Portuguese) conquistadors invaded Latin America and the Latin American natives took parts of the Flamenco and incorporated it into their own dance. Flamenco isn't the only example of such modification throughout the centuries to what it is today. My dad is a huge fan of the Flamenco dance and music. To most Westerners, the many varieties of the Curry spice blend is associated with India. India has many regions, so the spice blend ingredients vary from region to region. This one ingredient is used more in Northern India and Pakistan than in other regions of India--cinnamon. When I've visited Morocco, their Curries have cinnamon; and my dad brought with him a jar of the Curry mix from his trip to Abu Dhabi--which also contained a lot of cinnamon. Northern India and Pakistan are so different from the rest of the country. Moguls reigned in that Indian region and in Persia--currently known as Iraq. Moguls were of the Islamic faith, and quite possibly their culture was the foundation of the cultures throughout the Middle East and North African countries. I have to point out that those who live in a country that is actually a continent forget, or don't realize, that other continents have many different nations with their cultures, politics, etc differing from country to country. The US is a nation that is a continent. Each state has its own government, historical influences; yet, the whole country is under the same federal government and president. USA's cultural and historical foundations are the same; but, it's variations differ from region to region. It's not the same in the continents of Europe, Africa, Middle East and its Peninsula, and Asia. I can imagine that it's similar to the US in Australia and New Zealand. I was born in Poland and raised in the States. I see the many things natives of both countries don't realize. I fell in love with Middle Eastern culture/architecture/art after my folks' return from their trip to Istanbul, Turkey and a family trip to Morocco. As a child I had a small, thick, and a beautiful hard cover book of "Sheherezad's 1000 Arabian Nights" with exquisite illuminations. That was my first introduction to Arabian art and one example of Arabian/Middle Eastern diverse and rich culture. When I travel to a Middle East/Arabic country, I feel like I'm in the scenery of Sheherezad's 1000 Arabian Nights--in absolute awe and bliss.

Nah bruh. As a Lebanese Phoenician myself, we don't accept this racist zionist show. The only reason they let these girls dance like that was because there was damned illuminati symbols. Screw the zionist racist media. Free palestine so they stop ruining the middle east

Felix Sunshine. Beautiful culture. I had to stop and rewind several times b/c I couldn't stop my tears. Such incredible art, culture, discipline, love, and dedication. The choreographer Nadim [Cherfan], deserves a great measure of credit here. This may be controversial but I'll say it anyway. I once heard from a woman (and know it to be true by experience): it most often take a man to open the door to bring women to their best and highest, so they could move forward to their destiny. This choreographer's value is incontestable and irreplaceable. Thank you for elevating both the dancers and yourself, Mr. Nadim Cherfan.
