John is my music teacher and along with another lovely teacher called Bob they encouraged me to persue singing,he’s absolutely phenomenal.Simon can’t cope with his skills ✋

He originally auditioned because he teaches music to kids and they encouraged him to back up his words of “go for it! Believe in yourself!” He’s freekin phenomenal! Old Man Halen!! ❤️❤️❤️. Far better than that kid who did cartwheels

He was born in 64 so only a year older than Slash and 2 older than me. He is pretty good though.

He's phenomenal. Even for a show filled with talented individuals, he stands out. I think any negative reference to his age is ridiculous. Aside from being insanely talented, there is something incredible about the visual contrast of this unassuming elderly man shredding and rocking out like this. Would be a damn shame if he doesn't advance or, at the very least, come out of this with some recording contract / concert tour.

You hate the truth but his age is the gimmick. The guitarists in the background on stage, the session musicians are 100% better than him at playing and more consistent. But they're not elderly and don't have an interesting story.

He's an excellent musician. The audience knew it. I doubt one of them gave him a pity ovation. They roared, stood, and applauded his performance because he's superb! Shame on the judges for ageist comments.

If you take the ages of Heidi Klum (50), Terry Crews (55), Simon Cowell (63), and Howie Mandel (67), the average age is about 59. John Wines is also 59.

As someone who has been playing since he is 4 and is now 33, this is not an easy feat to accomplish. It takes a lot emotionally, physically and mentally. You are having pure faith that your hands and mind are in sync the whole time because the moment you overthink, or try to process too much you will make a mistake. He was flawless.

people who don’t play guitar can’t understand that switching off songs each 20 seconds is incredibly hard to time especially with all the crowd noise and background stuff going on. The fact that he missed only a note is also insane… Sucks they didn’t pass him. I can only hope to meet this man one day.
