It’s honestly scary how far deep fake technology has come. In this context, it’s harmless. But still, it can definitely be abused (and has been) and I’m a little nervous as to how far people are going to go with it.

His name is Daniel Emmet! Very sweet guy, he was on a talent show before, it may have been AGT but I’m not exactly sure. One of my high school friends was a mega fan of his and won tickets to Vegas for his mini residency and met with him after and said he was the sweetest person she could ever imagine.

The voice I agree with, but not the technology. Deepfake technology that can do exactly this is available for free online for anyone to try. The only problem is that usually it can't compute it in real time, but to solve that you would just need a beefy computer which AGT would have probably provided

I was pretty shocked too. Yeah, the handsome fella on stage said he was going to use artificial intelligence. But no one imagined he would create a perfect portrayal of Simon. I've never seen something so technologically perfect. The expressions of fake simon were mind-blowing, and it was fun seeing the real simon having a total meltdown in the most beautiful way. Simon is so hard to impress, but he was so mesmerized that he "fell in love" with the handsome singer on stage. Can't blame him, i would too after witnessing such perfection.

These metaphysics performances were amazing and Simon's reactions to all the performances were hilarious and made them 5x better than they already were this group deserved to be finalists. Love this! I wish we spoke more about the two men who created this device, the technology, the precision of the face and lines, it really truly looked like Simon was singing. These guys did incredible work (bit frightening) but truly incredible ! Of course the singing was also insane and should be commended !

@@OCT94 deep fakes have been around for a while, sure. But it's just that the technology has advanced so much, that it's almost imposible to tell that it's fake because it's incredibly realistic. That's what's amazing. A.i is becoming a bit too futuristic in some areas.

At first I wasn't sure to understand because Simon seemed to really sing along with that amazing voice, so I thought it was him. I mean his mouth seemed to say those lyrics. How did they do this? What about deep fake technology? I know we can do many things, not to say everything ; but how did they match Simon's face and Daniel'voice? I hope you know what I mean ? I read about creating a meme ..I'm a bit lost. But anyway the guy really have an amazing voice !

It's a pre-record the shadows and background are wrong, hand/mic positioning was close but not perfect. The huge studio camera was a stage prop to hide the live singer from the panel. But cool to see more DeepFake in mainstream.

It was great for Metaphysic to be able to use Daniel Emmet to sing as Simon. If the singer wasn’t as amazing as Daniel, Simon would have not been “in love with him“. Daniel had a huge part in making this act successful and should have received more recognition.

Like others have alluded to, it’s anything but awesome. AI is the most dangerous thing that man has ever created. We’re bordering on having created synthetic consciousness in something that we use (computers) that currently run the world. Something that we base our entire world on. To make just a few examples, it can instantly ruin the world currency. It can instantly control or destroy the power grid. It can lock all communication worldwide. It can take control of all our naval, aerial and nuclear defenses and use it against us. This isn’t a conspiracy theory, these are things that can easily happen and it’s uncharted territory and it’s rapidly growing at a rate that we can’t stop and have zero understanding of what it’s truly capable of and what will be the eureka moment when it decides it doesn’t need us and we’re a hindrance or danger. A month ago there was an AI drone that killed an operator in a testing simulation because it registered the human operator as a hindrance to the mission because the guy was controlling it worse than it calculated it could control itself to achieve the goal it was given. A million reports and breaking news came out and broke worldwide on “the first AI murder” but the American military quickly shut all of those reports down and tried to sweep it under the rug. You can still find mention of it, but why wasn’t that event on the news 24/7? It proved that the government has complete control of the mainstream media that 99% of people watch and get their information from. Nah, bro. AI ain’t good at all.
